OwlCrate and OwlCrate Jr. - July boxes

I was looking for a book subscription box to try out and I found OwlCrate last month. They don't reveal what the book is, just a description, and it intrigued me. I also checked out the one for OwlCrate Jr. for my son and the description of the book seemed so perfect for him right now and so I talked to him about it and he said he wanted it. Took some time to get the boxes because of the mail service, but here they finally are!

I am super impressed with what was inside. I was definitely not expecting so many things! And they are of good quality too!

OwlCrate's theme for July was Potions and Poisons. We got a ceramic TBR Jar designed by Lichen and Limestone with vintage apothecary aesthetics in mind, a silicone popsicle mold with a nod to Three Dark Crowns in the design, a Narnia inspired bottle keychain made by Blissfully Bookish Co., a tea towel filled with poisonous plants inspired by Labyrinth Lost, a watermint clementine scented bubble elixir created by Fiction Bath Co., an enamel bookmark with Alice in Wonderland charms made by Herboreal Art, this monthly pin designed by Icey Designs inspired by This Poison Heart, and finally, the book of the month, This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron.

OwlCrate Jr.'s theme for July was Creativity Conquers All. In this month's box there was a canvas art supply roll-up for pens and pencils with artwork by Lorena Alvarez from Nightlights, a tin of high-pigment watercolor paints inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book The Dot and designed by @heatherslettering, a pad of watercolor paper featuring an inspiring quote by Maya Angelou and designed by @winkandwonder, a tassel bookmark with a quote from Inkheart designed by @bookofkellz, some washi tape designed by @aclaussdesign, this month's collectible sticker designed by @lunartcy, and the book of the month, Kiki Kallira Breaks a Kingdom, written by Sangu Mandanna.

With August's themes and book descriptions intriguing me, I've decided to go for another month on both boxes. Sadly, though, August's box will probably be the last for OwlCrate Jr. because the books are a bit too advanced for my son. I'll be enjoying them, for sure, but since we're a french speaking family, even though my son is 8 years-old and pretty good in english for his age, the books in OwlCrate Jr. are going to be too hard for him to read for now.
