Since 2022 has started, I thought I would take a look back at what I read in 2021 and plan what I’ll read in 2022.
Last year, I wanted to read 6 books. I thought “I don’t have much time to read, but 2 months should be enough to finish a book”. Sadly, I was only able to read 4 out of 6. I read Twenty Years After, The Vicomte of Bragelonne, Ten Years Later and Louise de La Vallière. All of those books are part of The D’Artagnan Romances series. I’m currently reading the last one, The Man in the Iron Mask.
For my reading goal for 2022, I’m going to keep it at 6. I put 7 in Goodreads because I don’t want to count The Man in the Iron Mask as a book read in 2022 since I started it in 2021. That way, when I’m done reading it, the count in Goodreads will be at 6 for books started and finished in 2022. I’m more hopeful that I’ll be able to read the 6 books this year because I plan on actually putting time on the side to read every day. I’ve been wanting to get back to reading more, but with the two kids and the job at home it’s hard to fit anything in the “routine”. But, I am very motivated to fit more reading and workouts in my weeks so I’ll figure something out!
The next books I really want to clear from my TBR are The Octunnumi Fosbit Files Prologue by Trevor Alan Foris and The Guardian by Erin Lee. Once I’ve read these two, I’m going to go back to the series I had started, the Patternist series. The first book was Wild Seed. I had started the next one, Mind of my Mind, but I’ll start it over to get back into the story. There are three books left in this series for me to read, which would bring my total to 5 books. After finishing those, I’m not sure what I’ll want to start so I’ll leave the final book of the year open.
What are your goals for 2022? Whether it’s something to do with reading or anything else, feel free to share!
